Is "new device release fatigue" a real thing?

As I sit here, typing this reply on my iPad, I can't think of anything else I really want from it that it doesn't already do. The typing is good enough (for me) on either the on-screen keyboard or an attached keyboard. The pencil is fun, even though I'm terrible at drawing. There's a bunch of fun apps that all look great.

I suppose I'm glad they're still trying to improve things, I just can't imagine what else they could possibly do.

Just like in real life.

Not that guy, but basically the same situation. I'd be thrilled. Not having to think about those every month has been amazing. I want everyone to feel that way, even if I have to pay more in taxes to cover it.

I mean in a less dark timeline the republicans would reject extremism and get their shit together around a normal human being for speaker. That they won’t is neither the democrats’ fault nor the democrats’ job to save them from.

She shifted left because the right in this country are literally trying to dismantle it. That’s as good a reason as any. Throw stones at her for this, but don’t chuck someone who actually accomplishes things for the working class in the gutter.

This is the best take in this thread. Warren is completely wrong about this and someone needs to bring her up to speed on the harm these bills pose. Mistakes like this are easily avoidable if your staff educates you properly in areas you have no expertise.

This doesn't ring true, like...at all. In 2012, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce described her by saying "no other candidate in 2012 represents a greater threat to free enterprise than Professor Warren." Archive Link.

I didn't watch any debate she had with Scott Brown in 2012, when she was running for Senate, for the first time, but I know she ran unopposed in the democratic primary for that position.

Like. No, man. You don't remove a progressive Dem because they're wrong about one thing. You argue with them, educate them, and get them to change their mind.

Warren made and successfully defended the CFPB. She's wrong about this, but you don't throw people into the garbage because they have one bad take.

So her demands for the return of oversight over banking just didn't happen, in your magical world where Warren isn't one of the more progressive Dem senators?

Although senators will benefit from the change by being permitted to sport casual clothes in the Senate chamber, their staffs are still required to wear business clothes under the old dress code. Is there a way to collapse comment threads on it I'm missing? I've been loving some of its other features (like being the only one I've found that stretches when I turn my iPad lengthwise).

Might not be able to scroll forever, but most of the stuff I see here is at least new to me if not actually new.

I find that having a really shit take on something tends to get even passive people talking, but I worry about the long-term effects of generating conversation that way.

..I do speak the language in one of the two, but thanks for the shitty assumption. That it's more jarring for me between two states is my own subjective opinion. It's almost like there's more to culture than language.

I'm probably just approaching this wrong overall. I think it'd be interesting to see more non-US posts in places like world news, and it's not that hard for me to run non-English posts through a translator to get the gist of them.

This is probably a terrible place to express it, and I'm probably being obtuse, but I want to see that in addition to posts like this complaint. I would read that. I would upvote that.
