Highly recommend checking out the original BBC radioplays. I wanted to work in the now defunct Radiophonic Workshop so bad as a kid because of them and their LotR. HGttG is my favorite case study in adaptation cause there are like 5 different tellings of the story across 4 different media all primarily written by the same author and they all have their fun quirks and idiosyncrasies.
I mean, ransomware as a thing has been around since the 90s. Crypto may have been the main factor in its skyrocketing prevalence, but it didnt "single-handedly invent" or facilitate the idea of ransomware.
What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt? I have sent as messengers gentlemen like ourselves to collect the bag with my money (deposited with you) but you have treated me with contempt by sending them back to me empty-handed several times, and that through enemy territory. Is there anyone among the merchants who trade with Telmun who has treated me in this way? You alone treat my messenger with contempt!
Bingo, every fucking time. I'm literally just sharing whats in my head. You know, trying to communicate like a fucking person? Sorry you took that as me thinking you were stupid. Because now i definitely think you're stupid.
Just look at Battlefront 2, arguably one of the best star wars games ever made and its reputation was irrevocably tanked because the publishers pushed the lootbox model on the game.
Not op but I looked it up. It's a type of self-help/self-development framework. Never been much for self help books but it seemed at least interesting.
I'll start since I'm the only one here now, hopefully not forever it literally took one minute for someone else to get here.
I started the audiobook of James S.A. Corey's The Mercy of Gods this past weekend and I'm really enjoying it. I was a huge fan of the Expanse novels and especially the performance by Jefferson Mayes on the audiobooks that I picked their new book up almost on reflex.
Unfortunately it looks like all the copies of the book and audiobook on Libby are waitlisted so put a hold on now!
If you read, specifically the second book by Kaloophid, Some More of Gods Greatest Mistakes the main series starts to make a lot of sense.
