  • Good, this is an S+ tier game. I’m not saying it’s for everyone, but if you look at the game and what it offers. I think you can objectively agree that it is a masterpiece of a game.

  • I think a VM is a bad solution. Maybe if it’s a very rarely used program, but typically the stuff people need that don’t work in Linux are for work which is why people HAVE to use them.

If I did that, I’d just be working out of a windows vm 99% of my computing time, so it doesn’t make sense for me.

  • This is my thought as well. Even if things go well this time, who’s to say they will not feel entitled to come back. Maybe with or without your knowledge.

I’d send them away otherwise I might start getting a regular visitor to my house asking for stuff.

In public, I’m happy to give money or food.

  • I think about this sometimes. What stuff can't you do in a Linux GUI that an average person would be able to do in Windows? For the sake the simplicity, lets limit the GUI to Cinnamon, Plasma, or Gnome.

Obviously, there are obscure GUIs out there, but in the main ones, I think just about everything can be done without CLI.

  • I’m all for them striking, but I expect people visiting the parks will not take it well.

They will understandably be upset that their vacation got ruined, but I fear they will direct their anger towards the striking cast members.

  • That reminds me of this cringe YouTube short I saw.

This recent college grad was talking about how he was an intern on Wall Street but decided to take a risk and quit his job to start a company in Dubai.

He then shows a clip of him in this really fancy condo and then asks if the viewer will do the same thing of following their dreams.

Where the fuck did he get the money to move to Dubai and start a company? Who’s paying for that fancy condo?

Pissed me off to no end. He clearly just started working but had plenty of money and then acts like following your dreams is a matter of courage. Fuck off!

  • Back before software subscriptions were a thing, I had a few different licenses which I would have assumed were perpetual.

In a way they were, but then my version stopped receiving updates and version 2 came out and they wanted me to buy version 2.

So perpetual licenses don’t mean anything if the company wants to be a jerk about it.

  • I don’t view this content myself. But people should be able to. Nintendo is driving me away due to their behavior and I’m losing interest in the company.

I doubt I’ll buy their next console. I have less time than I did back then, but if I’m on the line about it, I’ll say no based on their recent behavior.

  • I live in a city outside of the US, it’s not particularly safe for kids to play outside as there is crazy traffic and nowhere to really go.

There are just a few small parks in the city and they are not easily accessible.

When I lived in the states, I played outside with friends in the suburbs, but stopped around high school, as there were very few kids in my neighborhood and previous friends moved away/outgrew playing as they were older than me.
