  • I guess, it’s not going to be a huge difference when you factor in using a bunch of hard drives.

The raspberry pi has its place for sure, but those micropcs are probably a better deal for most people who want them for home use.

  • I did the windows partition at one point and I eventually told myself that I don’t need to play the games that don’t work on Linux.

But no problem in doing it.

Also I’ve been using Linux mint for years. You I’ll be tempted to hop around, but that’s part of the Linux experience, you will eventually find your “home”.

  • So, the pi is $80. That is without a case, power supply, or hard drive. Once you add these things to the Pi, you are into the $100-200 price range. At that point, you can just get an old desktop or a micro desktop. There are some youtube videos about it. I think they are maybe twice as big as a pi, but have intel processors in them.

They will be cheaper or similar in price and have better performance.

I just use an old desktop that has a 4th gen i5 and it runs significantly better than the pi4 does. Plus, I can just throw all my drives in the case and not need to worry about USB connected drives.

Also, I recommend Jellyfin over Plex.

  • Once my science teacher gave me a 98 on the final exam. “Your answer is right, but weeds are plants so you don’t need to write both of these in your answer.” Ok well I’m 12 and writing about what mice eat.

  • The stealth sections were not too bad on my second play through. Once you know what to do, it’s pretty trivial.

I really Enjoyed this game, but it felt a bit short. I wish it were a longer game. Maybe that means they will release a new one soon.

The movement in this game was great and the final boss was pretty cool, too.

  • There are a few reasons like their extended software support and their built in text recognition and translation features.

I don’t live in my home country and this is very very useful.

Since everyone in America uses iOS and iMessage only, I’m kinda locked into iMessage for communications.

I know there are other messaging apps, but no one has any of them. There are people I communicate with just a few times a year and I can’t ask them to download an app just to occasionally chat or catch up.

I also use very few google services. In fact if you don’t count invidious I only have a gmail account which I use for no personal stuff like Netflix accounts and stuff.

  • This 100% since my screen has a small crack in the corner, I need a new screen just to get to the battery.

Because of this they want me to leave my phone with them for up to 30 days while they order the parts. It’s an iPhone XR. How can they not have parts?

I know it’s because apple makes it difficult on purpose.

Also there are not Apple Store in the country where I live, so I have to go through an authorized provider.

I’ll get a 15, but then I’m taking this phone to an unofficial repair shop to get it fixed up for cheap.

  • Thanks for explaining this. I’m a foreigner living her and do not keep up with the local news.

I have seen some of the new ones around. I think they are electric. I also saw one of the new ones towing another one 😂

They do look nicer and seem to have more space, but I’ve not been on one yet. I never learned how to navigate via jeepney😅

  • The US should not be censoring harmless stuff like this.

Sure, they can make rules for federal employees and using it on their phones and stuff, but they should not for the average citizen.

I am in favor of big tech being regulated in regards to the data they can collect and transparency about the data they collect and what they do with it.

That is really what would solve the problem. Not banning an app.

  • That’s interesting. I didn’t know potato mode was anything other than obscure YouTuber content. I rarely play anything demanding, but I’ll look into potato mode for some games.

What I’m really looking forward to playing is fallout new Vegas, disco Elysium, and divinity original sin 2.

I’m sure they will all run super well on the deck.
