It is the 3rd Wednesday of the month, and it is BVWSC! Unfortunately, I have been struggling with a long cold, which leaves my olfactory capacities strongly diminished. I could identify some faint leather scent, but other than this, I'm not in the best shape to pronounce myself on odors. I'll have to revisit this soap once I'm better.

Otherwise, the Stirling base was good as always, easy to lather, and providing a good shave.

Excellent shave with the Thiers-Issard, even though there was some slight irritation late in the shave (maybe a slight reaction to the soap?).

I somehow f-ed up the first pass - the lather was not slick at all, and not protective. I took refuge in MOAR SOAP MOAR WATER, and the rest worked better. The after-shave face feel with Ishtar is always very good, and same today. Next week, I will go back to the more exciting razors.

If you're interested in experiencing just how shite this brush is, I'd be happy to loan it to you before the exorcism.

That's really kind of you, but after some reflection, I think I'll pass on this one

No complaints about the brush today? Have you attained th acceptance-stage?

I can't compare the same razor in zamac and stailess, but the Greencult has a drag that none of my other razors have, and my Karve also drags a bit. Maybe some polishing would heh 🤷

I don't have much experience with stainless steel or brass razors, but I find that chrome-plated razors slide better on the skin.

But then, you can chrome-plate stainless steel or brass just as well as zamac 🙄

I see you upgraded - buttons in the web interface are no longer in the same places 🙃

But everything looking good!

The Flying Wing is maybe not the best GEM razor, but definitely the prettiest. And brutal burn with Marmara Barber.

Since @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social used his entire collection of R41s today, I felt compelled to follow suit: I shaved with every R41 that I own (n=1).

I'm a bit under the weather since yesterday, and nauseous from time to time. Hope that this gets better soon.

The stank of Blue Mediterranean does not pair well with the dark, but decidedly unstanky Watchman. And very nice shave with the Star, always a win.
