    I run television. It's kinda easy for me. There's usually a flood of news from the industry, renewals and reviews that come up daily. I post all that I think are relevant (some are just not interesting to most people), and once a day put out a general discussion thread.

  • For instance, for me: Although I wasn't completely disappointed, Severance S02 for me broadly went in a direction I didn't expect. I had multiple thoughts about how it would proceed and what plot threads would be pulled on that it just didn't do.

    I also would have wrote the history of certain characters differently.

  • Huh? My objection to the episode's writing has nothing to do with Severance releasing weekly.

    This is what good TV shows look like. Sorry. Unless you know the overarching plot of the entire series, you know nothing about the relevance of the episode.

    Sure, I'm speculating. At this point, I think it was shoehorned in and didn't seem consistent with Cobel's role in the company and behaviour in the company in S01. I also don't think it was well done.

  • Sorry, I agree with /u/GrumpyDuckling here. The pacing of S02E08 didn't work at all, and what we learned didn't actually seem especially interesting. It also seems shoehorned in as she didn't give the vibes of being that at all in Season 1.

  • Well ironically the most revered part of the show was the Cleon plotline, which they completely made up.

  • My other suggestion is "Foundation" which was basically 3 TV series in a trenchcoat in Season 1 at least. 1 had HBO tier writing and detail. 1 had middling Amazon Prime writing and 1 was The CW garbage. It had improved somewhat in Season 2 and the plots were more balanced.

  • I will suggest "The 100" which had varying quality levels throughout, full of The CW tropes but somehow managed to be fun.
