Sorry for the late reply. It’s been a long time since I played Steam on an actual computer so I’m not finding where the developer settings I mentioned earlier are located.
Edit: You mentioned trying two different controllers. Have you tried to have both plugged in at the same time so that the game can see both?
While you have the game running, are you able to open the Steam Overlay? In the overlay, click on the controller icon
In the settings here, do you have an option to reorder controllers on the right side of the screen?
If you see that button, click on it and mess around with the controller order and see if it'll make the game see the controller now.
I don’t have a Mac but I do run into the same issue with my Steam Deck while it’s docked. I have a Xbox controller and a controller from Logitech.
While the game is running, are you able to open up Steam’s controller settings? You might need to enable developer mode.
In the controller settings are you able to see something in the upper center-right about changing controller order?
In there just simply mess around with the controller order, might have to try various combos of controller order. That usually helps get the game to see the controller.
I had a bunch of fun. The ability to share template links was a huge help getting designs finished.
That’s okay, they’re found elsewhere too.
Try going after carps. They’re available all year and even found in places like the sewers (if you’ve unlocked that already). https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Carp
That’s a really good location too, thanks for the suggestion!
The last sentence made me lol
Thanks for the suggestions. It sounds like learning all about REST is a good place to start.
Some of the integration situations I might face is where one software is internal on-prem but the other software is more cloud-based and debatable on how much control we have on our stuff in it.
Thanks a bunch for the suggestions. I think learning the basic toolbox is where I should start, then work my way up to the software-specific interfaces.
Have you ran into software made by companies that didn't have APIs available or didn't want their software integrating with other systems? How would you work around that?
I want to learn how to build integrations, such as how to connect two systems made by different companies that have different structures.
For example: To cut down on redundant data entry, I want to build an integration where the data is pushed from one software to another software. The integration would put the data from the source software into the correct fields in the destination software.
How do I go about learning how to build integrations? What classes to even start with?
I appreciate any guidance you can provide.
Edit: Thanks a bunch for the suggestions. I'm checking out those tools suggested in the comments and looking up classes to learn the skills needed.
Good idea, I think I found a spot for it on one side and made sure there wasn’t anything that pals could get stuck in.
I have that happening to me too and I’m just completely baffled.
I think I found the spot at [-27, 168] and found a quartz nodes but I couldn’t find coal nodes.
Pretty cool location here too.
Thanks for showing me this, it’s pretty helpful. I’m going to explore some of those areas it pointed out.
I think I found the place you’re talking about. You’re right that it does have a nice view.
How were you able to set stuff up with how little flat land there is? Even laying down foundation was challenging. I don’t want to use up too much ground so that there’s plenty of space for ore and coal to respawn.
I’ve been playing the game for some time and ready to move my first base somewhere else.
Where have you all set up your bases and how have you been liking those locations?
Thanks again for your suggestions, I finally got the pals to cooperate with the breeding pens.
The sass from the owl on the right is incredible.
Thanks, I’ll try that later today when I get the chance to hop in. Here’s hoping I come back to you with good news.
I offer them lovely cakes but instead they want to stare at the fields.
The base I have is just the breeding pen, incubators, ranch (for eggs and milk), and berry farms. Should I move the cake making stuff to a different base?
I moved my pen to a flat surface by putting it on top of wood foundations. But that didn’t seem to help keep pals from leaving.
At first the breeding pen was working fine, then all of a sudden I’m having problems where the pals don’t care for the breeding pen and just simply leave.
I double checked that the entire pen was within the base boundaries and that the parent pals weren’t hungry or have any ailments.
Any idea what may be the issue?
I’ve started to take an intro SQL class but I want to find more places to practice. Do any of you have recommendations for sites that I can use to practice creating queries based on pieces of information someone is looking for?
Any other advice to give to a brand new SQL learner?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Edit: Thanks a ton for the responses, I really appreciate it. I’ve bookmarked these pages and started to go through these sites.
