Can recommend this one next time. Although you should definitely look into programming a custom waypoint before you try to land. Spotting the runway is hard in the middle of nowhere.

Has anyone been able to test this yet? What was your experience like?
I was able to test it on my 7900XT, but I'm not sure if it was working right. It was definitely enabled as the frame counter in Adrenalin showed double FPS. But that was only until I moved the camera and the FPS would return to non-framegen baseline until I stopped moving it again which kind of defeats the purpose.
I recently got the Q4XP and discovered Widerøe flies nice domestic routes in Norway. Perfect for a short 50min flight for example.
I found widerøevirtual.online - a phpVms based VA.
I liked what it offers: an overview of real life flights which you can choose to fly, helps you in creating a simbrief OFP. It seems a bit quiet here though, small group of members
(which is nice I think) and you’ll have to wait on manual pirep approval. The VA seems new-ish, lets hope it grows a bit and becomes somewhat more active.
I’m also a member of klm-va.nl which is much more free: you can choose to fly real life scheduled flights (get more points for that) but you can just fly any dep-arr you like in whatever plane - and still get points for it.
I’ve also tried several VA’s based on the vamSys software - the most modern and solid build va-system I think. They’ve got some very active communities, which is also a very nice part of flying with a VA.
I’m wondering what others experiences are with flying on the sim with a virtual airline?
Fenix A320 has announced version V2 of their A320. The V2 update is divided into two blocks. Block 1 has released today and includes mostly under the hood improvements to systems, displays, aircraft behaviour and some small improments in the EFB. Block 1 is promised to bring major FPS improvements.
Block 2 is scheduled to launch in September. This will include the IAE variant, updated model and improvements to the current CFM model.
T-Rudders Mk.V Rudder Pedals Recommended for all flight (or space) simulation users who prefer a set of rudder pedals with a small footprint under their desk, while still wanting a high-quality, all-metal device. Not compatible with BlackBox Mk.1/Mk.2 Includes 1 T-Rudder Mk.V 1 BlackBox 3 with 32-bi...
Summary of changes since T-Rudder Mk. IV:
Re-designed MaRS sensor, same as used in Gunfighter Mk. IV
More comfortable pedal design
Same price as T-Rudders Mk. IV ($215 USD)
No, it does not have toe brakes.
Available in NA and AliExpress stores, with other stores getting availability within the next few weeks.
Block 1 mostly contains "under the hood" optimalizations. Block 2 contains a major update to the model aswell as the addition of the IAE engine variant. Until now, Fenix only has the A320 with the CFM engines.

Stumbling a bit on how to get some animations to work correctly, (gauges and gear doors where the local axis doesn't line up with the global axis). But making some good progress on getting the details modelled in.
Hi guys, VKB HQ shares more details on the modular concept of the STECS Throttle system. Check it out on Reddit here. Expected availability for US and Canada: August 2023. Exciting times! Until next time, VKB North America
Not much detail below besides a reddit link, sorry, but it looks like the STECS is real and coming soon!

Airport is SCSM. First contribution after (mostly) moving over from Reddit!
AMD Chill limits your FPS basically. You can enable it in Adrenalin.
Wish it could go lower than 30, but it's a quick way to toggle between 60+ fps and 30. Will definitely be using it when I arrive in the cruise phase from now on.

It's looking pretty good, hope the transition from FS2020 to FS2024 will be a smooth one!
In Aircraft & Avionics Update 02, we added new telemetry to help investigate the “bandwidth is too low” and connection loss issues users in the community have reported. While the investigation is ongoing, thanks to data gathered during the flight we were able to narrow down the search. For example, ...

The suspension of sales is effective immediately and the aircraft is currently not available for purchase anymore. The product page has also been taken do...
Airspeed, Vertical speed, manifold pressure, RPM and fuel flow are all working as expected. Night lighting on the GPS and audio panel is working fabulously. There is night lighting on the center stack, but it's too subtle and will need some adjustments.
Manipulators are going to take a bit longer because I built a lot before really understanding how manipulators worked, so I have to go back and correct some things.
So, what the title says. It would be nice to fly for a virtual airline in this new community that celebrates the federated environment. Hearing something like 'Federated Airlines', or 'Lemmy Airways' etc. in VATSIM would IMO eventually help attracting users. Same as, for example, that Hoggit Fighter Wing. I don't necessarily want to mention any other aggregation webs, just using it as an example.
I recently learned of some VA online software that makes it easier than it used to be, such as NewSky. If by September or so, when I am back from where I'll spend the summer time, there is none, I might go ahead and try creating it myself.
I just leave here the naive idea in case someone has the will, energy, time and resources to do it.
EDIT:
I couldn't help but dig into the idea and already coming up with what I'd like/plan to do.
Name: DecentralAir (DEC) - generic enough not to be specific to Lemmy, Mastodon, etc.
Charter focused, more than fixed routes. This goes in the line of freedom and decentralization.
As HQ, it will be KFFA. Not a big airport, but a significant one for aviation. Then there can be as many hubs as needed, not a central one.
Still thinking of what a good logo would be.
How do you feel about it that Microsoft decided to make a new game instead of it being an update for MSFS 2020? Do you think you will buy it or just stick with the 2020 version?
I've been into flight simulators since the early eighties, with Psion Figher Pilot being my very first simulator.
Since then, I have gone through quite a few, and many of them being issues of the famous civil ones (Microsoft Flight Simulator 'xx or XPlane). I never had the need of a background, not even needed to be part of a virtual airline.
Nowadays, however, I am feeling the lack of motivation. Seems to me that, ironically, more realism does not equal to more fun or motivation, and I just don't know why.
Getting to the point, while I don't either expect or want MSFS 2024 to be any kind of RPG game, I do feel like the things you can do as announced (actual transport, SAR, etc.) might be what I need. I will let the gamifying part be done by 3rd party apps and hopefully the new sim features will allow these add-ons to widen their scope.
