Official online community for knowledge and discussion in regards to the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Tribe, a triracial isolate cultural group originating in Eastern North America 500 years ago.
Many Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people from coastal Virginia were listed as Free People Of Color or as “mulattoes” prior to 1800. Families with the names ALLMOND/ALLMAN, BLUFORD, DRIVER, FREEMAN, GOWEN/ GOING, HEARN, KING, LEMON, MEGGS, MONOGGIN, and MORRIS are identified in various documents as living free from slavery but “free” didn't mean that they were as free as those of full European ancestry. Such “free” people weren't enslaved, but they did have restrictions placed on them and other hardships.
The above Qarsherskiyan families, as well as others not cited in this report, contributed to America by fighting in wars, joining and even leading religious movements, and working many trades. At the same time, they worked for more freedom to access better education, attain property ownership, and more equality.
Members of the DRIVER family were described in some records as “white” and in others as “mulatto” or “colored”.
The FREEMAN family saw a future for their family by owning land in
"From Argentina, where several thousand Syrian 'Alawi refugees have lived for decades, came a few Alouite families. They believe in the divinity of Prophet Ali, and the can be seen murmuring from the Mohamedan Bible. They say 'Alahouma sally Allah Muhammad wa Allah Ali Muhammad,' a sign of proof that they believe in the trinity of unity between Allah, Ali, and Muhammad."
"78 Muhammadan Churchgoing men and 29 of their womenfolk and thrice the number of their children disembarked from the ship at the docks. They follow a sect of the Muhometan Church they brought with them from an unknown land they call 'Thee Kar' and 'Deewania' and hit themselves with chains, spilling blood. They have mixed with the Mulatto Aliwites"

"Mulatto Aliwites" refers to what is now called Ethnic Qarsherskiyans, specifically those who are members of the Aliyite Sufi Tariqa, and the term "Mulatto" is not in use today for Qarsherskiyans except as a slur as of 2025.
In the Eastern USA, a very unique community with centuries of history is struggling to gain acceptance and recognition. The Qarsherskiyans are a Sweetgum Kriyul Tribe. The term "Sweetgum Kriyul" refers to groups of people who live in the USA who are descended from people of 3 or more races, part of new ethnicities created by interracial relationships, known to anthropologists as triracial isolates. These Sweetgum Kriyul tribes include Qarsherskiyans as well as other groups like the Moors of Delaware, the Lumbee, and the Melungeons. Melungeons are, perhaps, the most famous of all Sweetgum Kriyul groups. It's speculated that Elvis Presley was a Melungeon, and that JD Vance is one too. The Qarsherskiyans, like other Sweetgum Kriyul people, are of triracial origins. The Qarsherskiyan Tribe is mostly descended from a mix of Native Americans from Eastern and Plains tribes, Celtic and other White Europeans, and West Africans from Islamic adhering regions of modern day Nigeria and West Africa.

He was often described as a "light-skinned Black man who doesn't speak in African-American English." Like many Qarsherskiyans, Sherman didn't use the term "African-American" because, as he would say, he has never been to Africa and isn't African. Most would call him Black, but he identitied with his multiracial heritage, being mostly Black but also with Cherokee and European ancestry. Sherman is known for making a style of Sophapilla that became known as Qar
Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people, being a mixed race tri-racial group with some Native American heritage, have cultural influence from Native Americans. One thing about the Qarsherskiyan people that surprises many, is the wide variety of different types of corn that Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people grow. The Ethnic Qarsherskiyan tribe often grows 60 varieties of corn from various Native American tribes and communities in North and South America, some more recently introduced into the Qarsherskiyan cuisine and culture than others. There is even a strain of Peruvian Giant Corn that is grown by Qarsherskiyan people and called Qarsherskiyan Giant Corn. The Qarsherskiyans grow sweetcorns for eating, popcorns for making popcorn, flour corns for making corn flour, and other types of corn. Qarsherskiyan-style Sophapillas, a type of Sophapilla perfected by Sherman Cedric White, a well-known Qarsherskiyan from London, Ohio, USA who died in August of 2016, are often made using tortillas made from corn grow
