soapmaking
Hi! I'm pretty new to soapmaking. I've done exclusively melt and pour soaps, experimenting with different techniques and ingredients. I think I have a decent hang of it now.
What are your favorite techniques, designs, etc. when it comes to M&P? I'm hoping to find inspiration, or a challenge for my next project.
Wy wife and I are small farmers. We ended up with a freezer full of pork fat. We rendered it to lard and started making soap with it. We make several varieties that are well received by our customers.
I've got a LARGE supply of potassium hydroxide flakes as well as large quantities of palmitic, palm kernel, soy, and coconut fatty acid if anyone wants to try any of them to make liquid soap (the KOH) or harder soaps with awesome suds (the fatty acids.)
