Also, I have some great news for you, Tibet became free! Before, it had a theocratic regime with serfs and a caste system with "untouchables" and an average life expectancy of 35, but now that's all in the past!

Tibet was not recognized by a single country other than Mongolia. It emerged with countless warlord states during the political upheval of early 20th century China. The Nationalists also considered it part of China and to this day Taiwan claims ownership of Tibet, considering it part of Chinese territory.

the worst the Chinese are probably being too prescriptive religion wise. Like when they overruled the Catholic church and appointed their own bishop which they really didn't need to do because the Catholic church isn't in the habit of preaching lack of obedience to the government
