Contracts show the not-for-profit VisitDallas paid nearly half a million dollars to subsidize the National Rifle Association's 2024 annual trade show.

This coming from the same city who banned a porn convention from using the exact same space.

I’d be fucking pissed if my tax dollars paid for a convention center that was then leant for practically free to a legally corrupt organization that was also found to be a front for Russian agitprop. How the hell is the NRA even still around? Oh, wait, I know the answer.
