The US had like a 9/11sworth of deaths every day during peak covid-19 pandemic, they didnโt put up any hokey sentimental monuments or statues up to mourn those deaths. The nurses and doctors and patients that were risking hospitalization and even death got what? A YouTube video of famous people or a HS class clapping for them?

This is not true, it's just a well done meme. The message at the end of Rambo 3 has always remained the same and it does not match this. The message in the meme is based on a quote from Ronald Reagan.
He absolutely praised them in this way and the movie IS trash, but this is an often repeated misconception.
