Digital Foundry tests out FSR 3.1 in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Are we now looking at a good DLSS/XeSS alternative or does the quality gulf remain?
Is DLSS an open standard like FSR? No? Ok then it doesn't matter if DLSS is marginally better.
4XeSS doesn't rely on specific hardware and is still better. It matters.
10It does though doesn't it, it has a fall back execution route on non-intel GPUs that isn't as good?
7In the few games that I played that had both, FSR 3 ran much better than XeSS. XeSS was a little better than FSR 2 (granted, not hard because FSR 2 often runs worse than native for me) but FSR 3 typically had 20+ more FPS than XeSS. Maybe they run better on Intel gpus but those are still too experimental and too low performance for me to even consider at this stage.
