I know Silverstone doesn’t always produce the best racing (unless Lewis and Max are shadow realming each other) but I always think Silverstone is one of the marquee races of the season.
Looking forward to seeing the Merc upgrades, and seeing if Lando can get any more out of that new papaya.
I hope Aston turn up - Canada and Austria have been worryingly quiet for them…
So my wife and I do this thing where we try to have a meal or a beverage that's emblematic of the country they're racing in on the week of the race. This week we'll be going to a good authentic-ish English pub. They serve Welsh rarebit which I enjoy. And they meet my criteria for a good English pub, which is that the floor is carpeted.
I think this was the race that turned me off the original sprint format. Its a classic British GP but the track has always felt super long to me. Expecting Aston to fly and Ferrari to be flat based off absolutely no data.
Ironically, this is the track that sold me on the sprint. I was at Silverstone in 2021 when there was a sprint, which meant on the Saturday (with free roam grandstands) I was able to sit on the pit straight for the sprint and see the grid start, but then on Sunday got to go to my actual seat for the main race.

I’m stoked to see a (partially) chrome McLaren on track again. It would be even better if they brought back the chrome pit helmets for the race weekend.
Hoping to see some good action. I’m always getting a bit lost watching the race on Silverstone. I feel like all the camera shots of the corners look the same.
Crazy qualifying session today, even though Norris looked great in Austria I don't think anyone could have guessed they'd qualify 2+3 today.
Racing P2 and back has been really good the past couple of rounds, hopefully we'll see even more tomorrow since so many cars are looking competitive today. I'm not sure what's going on at Aston, it seems like they haven't been improving much throughout the season, but maybe it's just because so many other teams are on the way up.
