I literally just learned that these existed when Amazon recommended them to me randomly, they use set screws so they're much more secure than any other type I've tried. You can probably find them at other retailers with some searching!

2Not yet (I want to find a pack with a more sane quantity before ordering) but I've used plenty of things that are held in place with set screws over the years as an avid tinkerer and I can almost guarantee this will be much more secure than a butterfly clip

I have several pens on my purse with these set screw style pinbaclers, and the pins have broken before the pin backer gives out.
