Yeah idk why people feel the need to post such things. “Hey guys the Marxist-Leninists on their Marxist-Leninist server temp banned me for talking shit about Marxist-Leninists”.
Like don’t get me wrong it’s annoying when that happens but does it belong on 196?
Not everyone realizes .ml is a Marxist-Leninist server, unlike Lemmygrad.
People are banned for much, much less than "talking shit about Marxist-Leninists". Try "Claiming that Ukraine isn't a Nazi state" or "Acknowledging the Uyghur genocide".
196's rule is you must post before you leave. What belongs here?
Yeah, but it also happens to be a significant instance with many big communities. It'd be ok if it was hosting only leftist comunities that talk only about ".M-L" stuff, but then you end up with communities like privacy@lemmy.ml where the rules seem to be:
Talk only about privacy related things
(implied) Don't criticize Xi Jingping (I'm exeggerating for comedic effect)
Yeah, having a community about privacy where you're not allowed to criticize one of the most anti-privacy governments in the history of humanity is pretty bizarre.
It's the equivalent of having a community about electric cars that bans you for talking about how much ICE cars pollute or like vegan circlejerk banning you for being an insufferably sanctimonious ass towards "carnists".
