Audio vs video quality?

The original post: /r/torrents by /u/DonkDan on 2024-08-10 09:01:12.

So I wanted to watch the movie "Wet Hot American Summer" again. I have the RARBG release (1.85 gb), but figured I would download something with a larger size to increase the quality and thus the viewing experience. So I found a 8 gb release, much better video quality, however the audio is significantly lower. The RARBG release is crisp, loud and clear.

So I'm sitting here thinking, alright.. what do I do? Do I watch the RARBG release with slightly worse video quality but MUCH better audio, or the 8 gb SiNNERS release with better video quality but worse audio quality?

What do you even do in situations like this? Is cranking up the volume on your TV enough to justify the difference? Any tips?
