Cane toads are at it again! Scientists from Macquarie University working with Bunuba Indigenous rangers and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) in Western Australia have trialed a new way to protect freshwater crocodiles from deadly invasive cane toads spreading across northern Australia.
This is really neat.
Yeah, but I do have to admit, I actually love Cane Toads. They are tough as hell, and they're survivors. But I can see how the decimate the area.
Well, this technique doesn't harm the cane toads, except the few that are used as bait. It lets them live alongside the crocks without killing them, that's kinda nice.
