"During the 1973 Spa 24 Hours three drivers were killed. Jochen Mass tells a horrifying story of sharing a car with Hans Stuck and during one of the pitstops at the night, Stuck shouted to him over the noise that he should "look out for body parts at the Masta Kink". Mass arrived there expecting to see bits of car all over the road but was appalled to discover it was bits of a marshal."
Absolutely incredible track in the dry, they have to improve safety in the wet, i don't think I can watch if its wet this year.
What can they do though? Something to slow cars through the unsighted flat out corners? An extra chicane at raidillon or eau rouge they have to take if its wet?
It should at least be more exciting than Hungary. Race so boring Jolyon restorted to talking about the waterslide in his analysis (full version on F1TV).
Last of the old school tracks. Danger level at pit exit is just too high for my liking though. But don't want to lose it either, the best racing, rain often
The weather looks like it should improve over the weekend, with a 40% chance of showers on race day, so fingers crossed it is not torrential and we get a classic wet (but not too wet) race.
