But will his voting base care? My brother is a disabled vet, and him and his wife (a Covid conspiracy theory nurse) are always trumpers.

14It's such a weird thing to focus on. How many of your (or my) family members are competing in sports? I have a few, but they're co-ed adult leagues, so who the hell cares.
And nobody looks at each other in bathrooms. I've seen literally dozens of women use the men's bathroom in my life. We don't care. She goes to a stall, I go to a urinal, I wash my hands, I leave, I never see her again

I'm terribly sorry. Trump nearly destroyed my relationship with my mother. A hard no-politics rule saved us.
I overheard two people talking outside a shop a couple years ago. The guy said how his brother wouldn't listen to his rhetoric. The brother apparently said, "I just came from a funeral of a friend who died of covid." The lunatic replied, "died with covid. Blah blah crazy shit." It made me so angry that I couldn't enjoy the fun thing that I attended a few minutes later. I'm very against violence and was appalled at my own thought that I would condone violence in that moment. It really fucked my head.

12No difference in tone or intent but a difference in that he's flailing and losing support, so this may add to that. Otherwise reasonable people were being drawn back in to trumpnon the basis that biden is too old. Their eyes are opening to trumps failings, that were already there to see, but not everyone was paying attention.

20Well, he's old and gonna die. A few have tried to take his place, but failed. When he dies, support will likely crater and well take a big jump forwards globally. Its always two steps forward, one step back.
His support may alsonstart to crater if he loses this coming election. The voters will start to see the lack of emperors clothes. The sycophants whoncling on for gain, will see no gain and flit away to other grifts.
This is a scary time as losing is not a given, just slightly more likely and they have plans to steal the election irrespective of the vote result. However, it also is nearly over, should he lose and not be able to overthrow the government.

When dozens of billionaires are funding your operation, that much money makes sense. However, Trump constantly lies about everything and Kamala announced a few hundred million raised in the first week she began her campaign so he's most likely trying to sound just popular as her by saying he also has a lot of money.
