9This has been true, but violating voting rights brings him into Federal jurisdiction. Here's hoping Biden's DOJ will bring charges. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I'm not defending Paxton or his lackeys in any sense, but this really stood out to me:
Officers seized 65 cellphones and 41 computers and storage devices [from Manuel Medina, chair of the Tejano Democrats] the filing said.
Sixty-five cellphones? Who has sixty-five cellphones?
1My understanding is that Medina was politically active on the state rep candidate's campaign and had likely helped operate phone banks. The kind of operation where you need a lot of phones to dial, and laptops to coordinate.
Obviously nothing has been confirmed yet because Paxton is being an obstructive nazi piece of shit buuuut
