47ReplyArch+sway my beloved
28ReplyAs an Arch + Hyprland Thinkpad user seeing a beautiful Thinkpad being ruined by Windows hurts. Free them from their Microsoft prison already.
6ReplyI don’t even use windows anymore apart from my work laptop, where I can’t install stuff on my own anyway, but that still made me look up options for tiling window managers on windows rn. (Tiling windows managers amiright)

Maybe it's my age, but I've only ever known IBMs as DOS and Windows machines.
5ReplyWhat about hackintosh on a thinkpad?

119ReplyYeah I don't expect there are many tech employees working with Windows Thinkpads.
26ReplyI worked for one of the biggest tech companies in the UK, we used Thinkpads for our dev work. They're solid machines with good specs and excellent warranties. Big companies love them.
19ReplyThe X1 Carbon is one of the best developer laptops there is, but I would never tarnish one with Windows
11ReplyMostly finance guys…
7Replyyou would be surprised... i cannot use linux and have a thinkpad assigned. i need to change company...
2Replyi work at a tech company and everyone here runs company mandated windows on their company thinkpads

47ReplyIt's unethical to keep a ThinkPad in the conditions on display in the photo
14ReplyAll Thinkpads (even the lower quality and less upgradable newer ones) deserve a loving Linux Transfem :3
