If you look at the very bottom of the screen shot you can see that the home, search, etc buttons are cut off.
Happy to provide more info to help. I'm on a stock pixel 3a.

If you turn on text labels for the navigation buttons, they reappear. So seems to be when the icons only are showing.

2lol, no outline on images does make browing tiles that contain screen shots difficult
