I’ll go first: Mistborn Era 2
Its not a series but Tress has been my favourite so far.

I'd edge out Mistborn with Stormlight. But not by much, the freaking Stormlight books are in such need of a heavy handed editor. The second Mistborn books are probably better than the first, but being first always influences me more as an introduction to a new world.
2Agreed, and I can’t wait for SA 5 to come out. I’ve been reading Sanderson since 2010 and my favorites change from time to time. All time favorite story is Emperor’s Soul, though.
4Mistborn era two just about beats out early Stormlight. Late Stormlight really slows down.

i really love the first mistborn book and its revolution. the later books disappointed me though, with how much power the nobility kept, even spanning to era 2, where their ancestors still mostly controll politics and economy, while the ancestors of the scaa became the opressed workers of that industrial society. i get that this could be considered a possible realistic outcome and that stories work better in injust worlds but it still hurts me a lot to see it as well as how little is done against it. this influences how i feel about the series as a whole.. so ig my favourite is "the final empire: the series" lol
