What client should i use for my specific scenario?

Hi! Im using an old hp laptop as a torrenting machine running ubuntu (not married to it, if u think a diff distro would be better then please tell me), arr suite and qbittorrent. I am using a mobile app called nzb360 to control everything, so i do not really need a gui for the torrent client. When there are a lot of torrents at the same time the laptop crashes. What torrent client would be the best for me in terms of being less hardware intensive? Should i stick with qb and just limit the number of connections? Thanks in advanced.
