So, I am not necessarily new to torrenting, but recently I moved back into my house after it had been renovating for the past couple of months. In the place i stayed at while it was being renovated, i got into torrenting. The place i was staying at was an apartment and using folx on my macbook i was getting pretty good speeds. Now back home, with wifi speeds leagues better than anything at the apartment, both my macbook and PC (qBittorrent) struggle to break a mb, when before I was easily able to get over it. I have gone through the various reddit posts suggesting what to do and while trying those the speeds either sink to 0 or stay the same. Is there some universal basic trick i’m missing?

update: after looking around the sub i have two leading theories as to why (aside from suggestions you guys give in the comments). Firstly, if the torrent is relatively new and low seeders it will take longer right? Secondly, if other people are actively downloading the torrent does it also make it go slower?
