Question: Can the series owners easily kill a torrent?

I know next to nothing about the technical aspect of torrents but have a question I hope someone can answer.

All episodes of Saturday Night Live (SNL) were available to download on the Internet Archive until someone had them removed. There is also a torrent of all the episodes.

On an SNL sub, people are asking me for the info for the torrent.

I'm hesitant to "publicly" give out info on the torrent because I suspect whoever had the Internet Archive stuff removed is lurking on the SNL sub. I don't know if "they" can "do anything" about the torrent.

That's my question.... Can "the powers that be" who had stuff removed from the Internet Archive someone kill a torrent if they find out about it.

Thank you!
