what is your fav sandwich place?
what is your fav sandwich place?
Never been a sandwich person as I always ended up ordering burgers or pasta. Now, wanted to try more sandwiches and see what I have missed. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
Banh Mi Saigon has amazing Vietnamese subs.
Vennie’s subs also has really good subs. A little pricey, but worth it every now and then.
4ReplyThanks will put them on my list.
Banh Mi reminds me of a place a place on Kingsway and Fraser which I went many years ago. I think it's called BaLe. Should go back and try as well.
2ReplyBa Le is good! Banh Mi Saigon goes that extra little bit. Would be fun for ya to try both and compare 🫡

Meat and Bread only has a few sandwiches but they're amazing - if you haven't been there before it's definitely worth a try.
There are also a lot of smaller local sandwich shops (Greens and Beans comes to mind) that are definitely worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.
4ReplyThanks I saw Meat and Bread on Google so that one is on my list.
Yes that is what I would want to try, smaller local sandwich places. I am hoping they would make some part of the sandwiches in their shop ( bake their bread or deli) instead of buying everything in bulk.
I will definitely try greens and beans when i get to that area.

La Grotto del Fromaggio on the Drive. Don't do the subway thing of just cramming as much as you can, they've got suggestions and I'd follow them.
4ReplyMy go to sandwich place, but parking there sucks so I haven’t been in ages.
2ReplyAh this one. I was there b4 but got grocery instead of deli. Lol. I will try their suggestion next time I am in that area. Thanks
2ReplyWe're almost complete opposites; I go pretty frequently but have never gotten groceries there.
