Who will take pole today? Why am I asking, we all know it'll be Max ahahah. Still, the battle for P2 could be interesting, right!?
Awesome final shootout. Piastri what a baller in qualifying!
7ReplyAbsolute disaster for AM.
5ReplyHaas is a total clown show. 🤡
5ReplyLance's risk was not worth it
3ReplyAgreed, that was just silly.
3ReplyAt least use the softs if you're going on slicks on a damp track.

Can't believe how close PIA was. My opinion of him is really starting to flip this season.
2ReplyHe needs to work on his race pace before I start to rate him highly, but he's definitely getting to grips with this McLaren in qualifying.

Max knew what he was doing, unbelievable
2ReplyCan't wait to see the sprint, hoping for some rain too.
2ReplyMaybe we’ll have some more light rain to stir things up a little.
1ReplySo it's your fault, then. Only thing out there is the sweepers.
2ReplyHaha. I said light 😅

Is there a comprehensive overview on how tyre allocation works on sprint weekends compared to regular weekends? For instance, I've read on Wikipedia that drivers must use a new set of medium tyres in each of the first two Sprint Quali segments. So do they get more/different tyres as usual?
An infographic about what tyre is available at what point (and which tyres have to be returned) would be nice.
1ReplySection 30.5d of the Sporting Regulations:
Normal weekend (13 dry, 4 inters, 3 wets):
- 2x Hard
- 3x Medium
- 8x Soft
Sprint weekend (12 dry, 4 inters, 3 wets):
- 2x Hard
- 4x Medium
- 6x Soft
They get additional inters if practice/qualifying sessions are declared wet and they use a set.
3ReplyThanks!
