Roast chooks are so expensive these days. I swear just a few years ago they were much cheaper. Except the Costco one they are all $12-$13.50! I'm not going all the way to Costco for a chicken in a bag, though. I guess they lost their loss leader status.
Local charcoal chook might cost twice as much, but maybe twice as big. And you can get chips with chicken salt there. Paid $10.50 for a 1/4 + chips today.
KFC probably about sparrow size, and makes you feel queasy after. With soggy chips. And will cost you at least twice as much.
Roast chook even at $15 will get you at least a couple of meals. I'm impressed that the supermarket chooks stay moist in the fridge. Though that makes me
wonder...pumped full of something??
