I hope it’s like Jellyfin just streaming their videos. That would be kinda fun. I’m guessing the point is to drive excitement of space. I would watch it as a central source for info.
The ad-free, no-cost streaming service will include live coverage of future launches, documentaries and new original series that will be exclusively available on the platform.
Wtf would nasa waste money on something that have never made a profit. Budget already fucked up enough. Its be more worthwhile to invest in shows from the streaming services.
Protip. I was responding to the article. I still think its a waste of money for nasa. A lot of people do not give a fuck about space. It's why NASA's budget has languished for so long. And now they're investing in something that's people specifically have to give a fuck about NASA themselves to interact with and most likely will just be an unnecessary budget drain. In a climate thats already saturated with "streaming services" Why even create a "streaming service" if the intention seems to be just "NASA news". It would in my opinion still be better to partner with one of these larger streaming services in order to push NASA to more people.
