Facebook alternative?
Hello all! I am new to the Fediverse, and am currently exploring it all. Very exciting concept and future! So far, I am here on Lemmy (Reddit alternative) and Nostr (Twitter alternative). Which Fediverse software is the best Facebook alternative? Thanks in advance!
I haven't used it personally but I believe Friendica is the thing.

15That's actually strange... It /was/ listed there not too long ago, that's how I found it. Kbin was the less-known site at the time too (about a month ago).

Thank you all! It seems like there's consensus that Friendica is the one. I'll probably check it out, but I'll most likely not end up using it, since there's no way all my normie friends will ever get on there...
8That really is the biggest hurdle for new social media platforms when there are established platforms already in use. Overcoming the inertia of having your entire network on one platform is a monumental task and requires a collective consensus that is hard to reach.
3Friendica is also a good way to follow Mastodon and Twitter accounts, so you combine that.

5Oof. Just had a quick look at it. It's like 90% crypto content. And lot of it are obvious scams to steal your coins.

Not sure about any that try to be exactly like Facebook. The closest off the top of my head is Pixelfed which is meant to be like instagram if that seems like something you’d be interested in.
