Interesting. I'm a lifelong goth and have just started learning tlhingan Hol, I think there might be something to this.

Goth Klingons would dress in ballerina tutus, dye their hair blonde and wear pink jackets.
Teenage Klingons would do their utmost to upset their parents like human teenagers do when they rebel against the older generation.
