Command & Conquer and Red Alert are both remastered in 4K by the former Westwood Studios team members. Includes all 3 expansions, rebuilt multiplayer, a modernized UI, Map Editor, bonus footage gallery, and over 7 hours of remastered music.
I find this especially ironic considering that C&C was the game that modernized the RTS genre to begin with, user interface included. It's almost hard to believe that the original ran in DOS!
And it already got one "remaster," after a sort, which was the Windows C&C Gold version which included the ability to play at a whopping 640x480 rather than 320x200, which was a major advantage at the time.
Alas, even at $1.99 I can't see my way clear to giving EA a single red cent. I'll have to stick with my oldschool CD-ROM copy. For the rest of us, there's always OpenRA.
