What a huge spitoon overflowing with bullshit. Even if this wasn't an advert masquerading as an article, it would still be pretty stupid to write about how good a fucking chatbot is at emotional labor. Just like with Eliza (see David Lodge's Campus trilogy), it can certainly be used to unburden yourself if you can squint at how fake it is. Placebo works if you believe and shouting into a hole can work as a therapeutic practice if you can convince yourself someone is listening. Willing to bet that Hearst Communication is neck deep in llm shit
