Self Hosting Videos
Would it be possible to make a desktop application that allows us to host our own video like a YouTube except every video is hosted by the uploader?
Peertube?
Decentralised. Federated. activity pub. Self Hosted. Open source.

Maybe this is what your looking for? Self-hosted video sharing set up through Docker.
5ReplyHere is an alternative Piped link(s): https://piped.video/watch?v=hHID50gmkYc&
Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.
I'm open-source, check me out at GitHub.

peer Tube? (its not just hosted by the uploader, but close enough?)
3ReplyYou could technically use this one and just mount everyone else's videos as network drives https://github.com/mediacms-io/mediacms
2ReplyYes there is something that's exactly what you're looking for: https://github.com/mediacms-io/mediacms
1ReplyBut once you turn off your laptop the video won't be available anymore.
