Hey! Already got some hikes in this season and more planned (Intermountain West USA). I also created the community !wilderness_backpacking@iusearchlinux.fyi if anyone wants to check it out.
Right now I'm working on my towel situation. Testing out various fabrics for a better, lighter, faster drying towel then my current microsuede one from a few years ago.
Ha, that's funny. Statewise, I'm in a state that's considered Intermountain West. Range-wise, according to that map, I'm in the Rockies. Tetons, Winds, Sawtooths...etc are where I typically go.
My people! Glad to see my namesake community. Kidding, I will post my lighterpack eventually but with wife my priorities have changed. Tried to show her the UL ways but she requires a number of backcountry comforts.
wow great name ๐ with that name it feels like you really should have a lighterpack locked and loaded ๐ i too am working on a kit for trips with my partner, i've been thinking an MLD Duomid might be in our future (i like a tarp for solo trips)
Hello! Not ultralight, but working my weight down a little at a time. Iโm a petite person, so I donโt really have much of a choice haha. I like to get ideas and tips from the ultralight community from time to time :)
Thanks! My last trip was near Baker Lake. My next one is going to be near Packwood! I just started backpacking last year, and Iโm slowly getting out there.
Hi, moving over from Reddit. I'm not ultralight by far (base weight is 17 lbs) but I'm always looking for fun hikes and ways to shave a few lbs/oz/grams off my gear.
hey there. good to see this community on the fediverse. I guess the best introduction for a ul'er is sharing their lp. this is me: https://lighterpack.com/r/smbf7q
