People from Boston would hate me.
I apologize for nothing.
In Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, there is an episode based on Lovecraft called Pickman's Model. It has Crispin Glover doing a heavy Boston accent. It's fantastic.
31ReplyI loved that series.
But I had to skip del Toro's weird ramblings before each episode.
7ReplyAgree! I love his works dearly! And the new netflix show is fantastic! But man oh man does his ramblings about almost anything get really really weird.

All I can think of is Mayor Quimby from the Simpsons as a cultist.
"Cthulhu ah... R'lyeh wgah'nagl.. er, ah... fhtagn!"
20ReplyHow about his nephew Freddy?
"Wait a minute. Come here. What did you call it? Say it loud enough so everyone can hear. Come on. Say it."
"Sh'thulair"
"Sh'thulair? Sh'thulair? It's C'thulah, say it right."

Is this like Shakespeare being a brummie ?
12ReplyIdk why but whenever anyone tries to write words to make them sound like a Boston accent all I hear is Kyle's cousin Kyle from South Park
8ReplyThat's funny because anytime I hear Kyle's cousin Kyle from south park it reminds me of Boston lmao

This is true. And cursed. Perfection.
7ReplyWe don't know for sure if that's what they sounded like because there's very little evidence to suggest that Boston was even real.
7ReplyMight be taking it too far with a Peter Griffin laugh.
6ReplyLook, thaht fahkin dubba bettah leave the fahkin Dunkins alone!
5ReplyAarakocra don't have lips & couldn't make "m", "p" & "b" sounds.

17ReplyNot reality, that's in the canon description of them for Dark Sun, but do go on.

In my experience all the characters have ridiculous yank accents in movies, no exception here.
