A thread for discussing the wild, whacky and utterly mundane of life in our isolated corner of the planet.

Ok so I can't brag too much/specifically because I don't wish to doxx myself, but my kid totally slayed at the Athletics Championships this afternoon. It was super exciting.
Nice!!
What are we talking here, 100 metres? Long Jump? Discus?
I's alright at hurdles, and long distance as a kid. That was long before the many croissants and pizzas i've since inhaled though.
There's something insulting about 39.4°. Just make it 40 already.
Edit: I take it back. According to BOM, it hit 40.1° at 13:43. Excellent - we did get a 40° day after all.
Ooooh, just got in before i reported you to you for such devilish levels of misinformation.
Hopefully nobody got caught in the freeway chaos today.
I was in the traffic jam the other way just from people having a sticky beak...
Lots of cars and cops, looked bad 😐
Ooh! Another bad crash? Its only been a few weeks since that Roe highway truck jumping the median strip one.
Went outside to unpeg clothes from the washing line this morning. The welcoming chill air with clear skies was refreshing to walk out to. The intensity of our hot Summers has again abated for the year.
Isn't Tuesday expected to be 37?
Fucking Dammit! I thought it was only going to be one day next week!
Some weird shit going on in the sky tonight.
Two lit up objects coming from the West travelling East in the sky one a little behind the other, then both travelled south a bit, then carried on east, before turning north and disappearing into shadow, only to appear where i first noticed them.
I thought planes, but they seemed to high up, or far away, like they'd have to have been out over the Indian Ocean kind of distance i'd imagine. But also, no discernable lights, they faded in and out like satellites do when they dissapear behind the shadow of the Earth.
