Volkswagen’s famous GTI hot-hatch performance car is moving to all-electric power, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still be a GTI.
I think the Golf would be an easy hot hatch to electrify as it’s personality is discrete, but I hope we’re not gonna lose hot hatches like the Type R or the equivalent of a Megane RS.

3I agree. I’m thinking 250 would be more than enough. They could keep numbers similar to the mk8 and it would be plenty fast. Although I suspect they will want it to be slightly faster than the mk8.
1Too bad most EVs feel boring compared to ICEs, despite how much power they have. I don't know, I like the power curve of an ICE

1I saw the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N mimics an ICE power curve with simulated gear changes as well.
