On one hand I want to see some arguments to qualify these claims and on the other I’m not surprised how the writing quality could be this bad for an article produced by a government agency. Reads like a YA fiction and I’m here for it.

In 2040, pursuing post-secondary education (PSE) is no longer considered a reliable path to social mobility.
In 2040, owning a home is not a realistic goal for many.
This sounds more like 2025 to me...

kinda interesting to see a govt produced report admitting that they have fumbled the bag of social development since the introduction of neoliberal policy
it's incredibly telling, but also hilarious how it manages to avoid making the connection with capitalism
That's because it was the fault of socialism in Canada, not capitalism. Having more and more socialist/communist programs creates and bigger and bigger government which in turn results in more and more taxes and people being more dependent on the government. In fact, I believe that we need more capitalism in Canada.
