What happened with fosstodon?

Can someone make a quick summary please? I just quickly read that fosstodon must be blocked because someone with relevance there is a nazi and not being kicked out or something

Update: The @carrotcypher user page on fosstodon is now returning "410 Gone"
- Thats the user that started it all? What did he/she do?
  
  Yeah that's the user everyone was complaining about, who allegedly misbehaved on reddit on many occasions and was a fosstodon moderator.
I have a vague memory that something like that happened many years ago but if something more recent happened it's news to me.
