Bean or Avelon?

I have pro on both and like both. Is there some criteria others have used in the past to pick their favorite? They seem so similar to me. Does one have a killer feature the other does not?

Avelon, cuz it’s actually still being actively developed. I was excited about Bean and the excitement ended rather quickly when the development halted. If it picks back up it could take over. There’s a few that could do that though.
If I can’t mark as read and hide as I scroll, I don’t come back to the app until new development has happened.
- The last Bean release was one month ago. I would not judge that as development that is dead.
  I do notice that Avelon seems to update quicker and refresh quicker than Bean, but I’m not sure if that’s just perception
  
  I’ve had interaction with both developers. The Bean one disappeared as soon as they offered a pay model. I know that one of the people that work with them provided an update, but I just didn’t like how that all went. It’s a great app though. Avelon just currently has more of everything that I want.

Now neither devs are affecting updates. I had went from Bean to Avelon, then it became paid and I paid for 2 months but now I’m not sure I’ll keep paying unless some bugs are fixed.
- I see bean got some updates.
