Georgia mother says she is being forced to keep brain-dead pregnant daughter alive under abortion ban law

This whole thing is grotesque, but at the end, it says the family is having to pay for this. How and why? They should not accept responsibility for the bill. They are not the ones receiving care, and you are not liable for others' debts unless you cosign or accept responsibility.
