Just a completely moronic take. Someone should explain to Jones that Tourism is worth nearly 5x to NZ GDP than mining is. Just like chicken farmers who did the bare minimum then got burnt when supermarket customers didn't want their shitty eggs anymore if we trash our environmental reputation we might find that mining grows at the expense of tourism.
- It will, especially since a lot of the proposed fast-track mines seem to be in high-value tourism areas such as the Coromandel (there's a proposed mine right near Cathedral Cove FFS).
  For a nation to go along with this feels like self harm. Mining revenue is way more likely to all wind up offshore. Also tourism is theoretically infinite if it's managed properly whereas mining is finite.
  Another factor is some of these proposed mines treat infrastructure load as an externality so there are a bunch of hidden costs to ratepayers/taxpayers.
  
  External costs to the general populace while all the benefits are internalised? Almost like all the dairy farming coops reaming us on butter while shitting & pissing in our rivers so much you can't swim without getting a rash.

Shane Jones is less useful and more damaging than a cloud of noxious gas. A pseudo pompous diluted boris johnson . It is very disappointing that anyone would be impressed with the hot wind emanating from his flatulent person, enough to vote him into parliament. That he behaves proudly this way at the behest of the backward ecology ending fossil fuel industry, adds insult to the injury.

How this vapid asshole was even allowed back into politics is an inditement on us kiwis, and a middle finger to every single one of us. Fuck Jones, Fuck this coalition of cunts.
