The funniest part about the osha-offical Tumblr account is that they got banned because it turned out they had nothing to do with OSHA and were just really passionate about workplace safety.

Workplace safety standards actually make sense rule.

We also can't see its feet, so there's no proof that it isn't wearing proper workbooks

Remember, squirrels are just rats with good PR.

The photo could be misleading. Are you sure the ~~squirr~~ employee isn’t stationed underneath an oak tree? Surely falling hazards exist under the old oak tree.

So where's his fall protection harness as per Standard 28 CFR 1910.28(b)?
- Squirrels can fall from any height without hurting themselves.
  That standard is only for mammals of above 0.5Kg.
  
  Less than lethal terminal velocity...
- Technically given that this seems to be a squirrel and they basically don't take fall damage I'd argue that they aren't required to wear one as they'd never be actually at risk of injury from a fall.
  I'd actually think there's a pretty strong argument that getting caught from a fall by a harness would be more dangerous to them than being allowed to fall freely in almost all circumstances as long as the work space is clear of hazards they could fall onto.

Something about someone breaking down OSHA rules to talk about why a squirrel should use a high visibility vest is very funny to me.
- It's extremely funny. It was an extremely long running bit, and their other posts were similarly detailed and accurate. IIRC, they ended up having to change their blog name because OSHA threatened them with legal action for impersonating an OSHA official. Tragic end to the story, but it was fun while it lasted.
