NO KINGS! Tomorrow on Trump's birthday, we protest across the entire nation. Check the website for No Kings events near you!

Find one near you, write down the address and time, and head out tomorrow. (You don't have to sign up for anything, all you need is the address).

Recommended that you bring a mask, hat, water and snacks. Safety Goggles or Glasses would also be a good idea if you have them.

Bring a sign or the US Flag if you have one.

For privacy reasons you may want to avoid bringing your phone, or place it inside a faraday bag (a really well sealed tinfoil pouch will work, and put it in airplane mode to avoid draining your battery) until you get home.

If you have a first aid kit, it wouldn't hurt to bring it, just in case.

Before anyone does, don’t register for these events (I’ve seen people do this), and don’t sign up.
This is officially fascism and they will get these lists. Just go, leave your phone at home, wear an athletic cup if you have junk to protect, bring milk for pepper spray, and if you’re detained, you become a Pokémon named Lawyer.

Bring an American flag (those fascist don't represent it) I've been attending those weekly and they are very peaceful and mostly full of seniors (which is sad, because younger generation has the most to lose from this).

  Yes, I agree with all of this. A major reason the civil rights movement in the 60s was effective was because the majority of regular people couldn’t stomach seeing police brutality against peaceful protestors, so the movement became mainstream.

  I’m not advocating for violence, but safety – and this is doubly important if you bring your kids.
  e: and for any defeatists, note that smaller protests had been happening for many years prior to that photo. Community, then city, then state, then national protests happened for years before the big protests that could no longer be ignored. This is not a one-and-done thing, and adding your support helps exponentially. Just paying attention at this point is helping, but we need to do more now because people are dying at a much higher rate already, and it’s about to get far worse.

All 50 states along with Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam have protests. Intentionally not one in DC this time with the parade going on there (unlike previous nationwide protests) but there are nearby ones just outside of it in. There are also planned protests outside the US as well
Many multiple per each state as well. Even Wyoming, which is the state with the smallest population and one of the most conservative in the nation, has protest planned in 13 cities

I personally can't make it to the march near me due to work, but to anyone who is going be safe out there, make sure to bring some water as well as other precautions we living in some dangerous times.
Drag kings are based though, we support those.

Talking with friends today I expressed that someone or more will die tomorrow during this. I feel guilty to hope that it's heat exhaustion/dehydration. I'm not against strategic escalation but I'm terrified that indiscriminate violence will play into fascist's hands. Now is the time to be paranoid about digital habits. We must show our strength without losing the public's support.

An idea: V for Victory?
In the 1930s there were quite a few Nazi sympathizers in the US. (When Nazis Took Manhattan : Code Switch https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2019/02/20/695941323/when-nazis-took-manhattan)
During WW2, the BBC was using Morse code "V" in their broadcasts particularly directed into occupied Europe. By the time the way was over, the palm out "V" was a widespread symbol of disavowing the Nazi ideals, and for decades after both left and right political sides condemned authoritarian brainwashing (racism itself was a bit more sticky). (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_sign) but recently white nationals have been getting more outspoken and less marginalized.
The V-sign has also been used by the sixties counter-culture to indicate peace... it is probably far better known for that meaning now than for victory over the Nazis.
I think the older meaning resonates with the current "no kings" moment ... don't let MAGA substitute the concept of authoritarianism for the traditional democratic patriotism that won WW2. The flag means allegiance to democracy, not to POTUS.
