The Penguins have acquired defenseman Erik Karlsson, forward Rem Pitlick, forward Dillon Hamaliuk and a 2026 third-round draft pick in a three-team trade involving the San Jose Sharks and Montreal Can
Honestly, I'm so glad Karlsson is gone. Not just because of cap space. I think having a player that is constantly saying how much he resents the team he is on for sucking is bad for team morale. And then a couple weeks ago saying that he didn't like Brent Burns. Idk. He just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm just glad he's off my team, and we can move on with a rebuild.
Now what's best for the Sharks is if the Penguins suck for the next two years in a row to maximize that draft pick. I'm sure Penguins fans will be heartbroken to know that Sharks fans are rooting against them. 😂
Not really sure what to make of this yet. Doesn't seem like Karlsson really fills a position of need for the penguins. Either way I'm intrigued to see how the season goes!
