Fchan, the federated imageboard, is apparently still alive

But it seems to be an isolated instance, as the federation appears to have been broken:

Just defederated from usagi [dot] reisen just in case federation starts working on that end.

You'd figure 4channers would lap up the idea of federation, oh well.
- They broadly arent really very techy and absolutely hate the idea of anything new. So nah they broadly hate federation and adopting any new platforms.
  Especially given that the fediverse already has a culture of being actively anti racism and hate they wouldnt be able to move here without getting instantly defederated and they know this. I'm sure the leftypol commies are already here.
  
  I think also the fediverse tends to lend itself to brainrot formats of social media: mastodon (Twitter), lemmy (Reddit), pixelfed (Instagram/tiktok), matrix (Discord). The fediverse is just trying to mimic the worst examples of the internet while 4chan is perfectly fine being its 2004 self
- It doesnt really offer anything over the current 4chan experience
